Terms & Conditions

1. Who we are

These terms apply to the services provided by Aevique Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under [Company No. XXXXXXXX], with registered office at [Registered office address]. Aevique Ltd is the data controller and service provider. Contact: info@aevique.io. The clinical service operated by Aevique Ltd is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Lab analysis is performed by our partner Nationwide Pathology, accredited to UKAS ISO 15189:2022 (accreditation No. 7983).

2. Definitions

3. The service

Each subscription tier includes the panel of biomarker tests listed for that tier, processed by Nationwide Pathology, reviewed by a GMC-registered clinician, and made available in the Aevique app. Subscriptions also include a quarterly video consultation (15/30/45 minutes depending on tier) and asynchronous clinician messaging within the app.

The following are not included in the subscription price and are billed separately: custom supplement protocols (~£89/month), prescription consultations (HRT, GLP-1, hCG), mid-quarter consultations, and tests outside the tier's standard panel. The open one-off test menu is available to anyone, with or without a subscription. Subscribers receive a 15% discount on every one-off test, automatically applied at checkout while the subscription is active.

4. Eligibility

The service is available to UK residents aged 18 or over. Certain tests are not available to under-18s under any circumstances. Pregnancy and certain medical conditions may make some tests clinically inappropriate or unreliable — your clinician will advise. [REVIEW: solicitor to confirm exact list of restricted tests and pregnancy considerations].

5. Ordering & payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. All prices are in GBP and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Subscriptions are charged immediately and recur every 90 days from the subscription start date. If a recurring payment fails, we will retry within 7 days; if payment is not received we may suspend or cancel the subscription. Card data is held by Stripe, not by Aevique.

6. Subscription terms

Subscriptions are billed quarterly. [REVIEW: pro-rata or end-of-quarter for upgrades/downgrades]. You may cancel at any time from the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid quarter, during which you retain access to the service. You may also pause a subscription for up to 90 days, during which billing is suspended.

7. One-off tests

One-off tests are charged as a single payment. The subscriber discount applies only at the moment of purchase; cancelling a subscription does not retroactively change the price of orders already placed. Lifetime tests (APOE, MTHFR, ApoE Genotype, Lp(a), Telomere Length) are flagged in your record and will not be reordered, with the exception of Telomere Length which is restricted to a maximum of one test per year.

8. Sample collection & logistics

Vitalis and Meridian samples are collected by registered phlebotomists either at your home or at one of our partner clinic sites, at your choice. Aevum members are seen at a private concierge address. Home-collection kits for non-blood samples (saliva, stool, urine) are posted to you with prepaid return logistics. You are responsible for following any pre-test instructions including fasting where required. If a sample is rejected due to lab handling or transit error, we will arrange a repeat at no additional cost. If rejection is due to customer error (missed step, incorrect collection), the repeat is charged at cost.

9. Results & clinician interpretation

Turnaround times are indicative and not guaranteed. Most panels return within 3–5 working days; specialist panels carry longer TATs which are stated at order. Every panel is reviewed and signed off by a GMC-registered clinician before publication. Asynchronous messaging via the app is for clinical follow-up of your results, not for emergency care. If your symptoms are urgent, contact your GP, NHS 111, or 999 — see the Medical Disclaimer.

10. Refunds & cancellations

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies to our services. Where a service has not yet been delivered, you have a 14-day statutory cancellation right from the date of purchase. Once a sample has been collected and processed by the lab, the cost of that processed test is non-refundable. [REVIEW: solicitor to confirm exact wording, including refund handling for partially-completed quarters].

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. [REVIEW: solicitor must tailor caps and carve-outs].

12. Intellectual property

The Aevique name, logo, app, content, and brand are owned by Aevique Ltd. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app and access your data for the duration of your account.

13. Acceptable use

You may not resell our services, share account credentials, or misuse clinician messaging. We may suspend accounts found in breach.

14. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email and via the app at least [REVIEW: notice period — typically 30 days] before they take effect.

15. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales. [REVIEW: solicitor to confirm consumer carve-outs].

16. Complaints

Please raise complaints with us first by emailing info@aevique.io. For complaints about clinical care, you may also raise the matter directly with the Care Quality Commission. [REVIEW: include exact CQC referral wording and contact route].
