The Science
Evidence-led panels built on the biomarkers that actually change outcomes.
“Your bloods are normal.”
The three words holding your health back.
A standard NHS blood panel tests for the basics. But ‘normal’ ranges are population averages — not optimal ranges. You can be ‘normal’ and still feel exhausted, foggy, and run down.
Optimal is not the same as normal. And you deserve to know the difference.
Modern longevity medicine is built on a simple insight: the markers that move outcomes aren’t always the markers your GP measures. Cardiovascular risk is read more reliably from particle counts and apolipoproteins — ApoB, Lipoprotein(a) — than from total cholesterol or LDL alone. Methylation status, captured by homocysteine, methylmalonic acid, and active B12, sits upstream of cognitive decline and cardiovascular disease decades before symptoms appear. Metabolic dysfunction shows up in fasting insulin and HOMA-IR years before HbA1c crosses the diabetic threshold.
Most NHS panels test for diagnosis, not optimisation. Aevique tests for trajectory: where your numbers sit today, where they’re heading, and what’s actually working when you change the protocol. Quarterly cadence is deliberate — long enough for an intervention to register in the bloodwork, short enough to course-correct before the year is out.
We don’t test what we can’t act on. Every marker on the menu has an evidence base, a reference range, and a downstream lifestyle, supplement, or prescription lever your clinician can pull. If a fashionable test doesn’t change what we’d do, it isn’t on the menu.
~22 markers per quarter.
~50 markers per quarter.
70+ markers per quarter.
Your wrist knows more than your GP appointment. Heart rate variability. Sleep cycles. Recovery scores. Stress patterns.
Aevique connects your wearable data with your biomarkers — so you see the full picture, not fragments. Sync your Apple Watch, Whoop, Oura, or Garmin in the app and your clinician will reference the trend lines alongside your bloodwork at every quarterly review. Two data streams, one protocol.
In the app
Your biomarker score sits next to your HRV, your sleep, and your recovery — with the same clinician interpreting both. The trend lines and the lab work, finally talking to each other.
Designed to be checked once a day, not pinged at all hours.
Our philosophy
We don’t believe health fits in a box. And we don’t believe in quick fixes.
Health is not one-dimensional. Neither are we.
All samples are processed by Nationwide Pathology, accredited to UKAS ISO 15189:2022 (accreditation No. 7983) and CQC registered. UKAS 15189 is the international standard specifically for medical testing labs — covering analytical validity, sample handling, calibration, internal QC, and proficiency testing. Turnaround times are panel-dependent: most biochemistry returns in three to five working days; specialist panels like the Vitamin B Profile carry an eight-day TAT and are flagged at order.
We don't make claims about competitor labs. We do require this level of accreditation for everything we report, including lifetime genetic tests.
Blood markers are one input, not a complete clinical picture. Reference ranges shift with age, sex, and cycle. False positives and negatives are possible on any single test, and results require clinical context — which is why every panel goes to a GMC-registered clinician before it reaches you. Aevique is a wellness and longevity service, not a diagnostic service for serious disease. If a result needs investigation that goes beyond optimisation, your clinician will tell you, and they may recommend you see your GP or a specialist. Read the Medical Disclaimer for the full scope.
